Pastor Josh became the senior pastor of St. Germain EFC in 2010. He is a graduate of Colorado State University and earned a Master’s of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Josh is married to Wendy and has four girls, Claire, Anna, Ellyn, & Lauren. After living in Colorado, Alaska, and Illinois, the Reese family finds great joy in making the Northwoods of Wisconsin their home.
Above all else Josh desires to lead a community growing in Christ. He loves knowing God’s story, learning others’ stories and crafting new stories as a family. With God’s grace, Pastor Josh looks forward to many years of reaching out to the Northwoods with Jesus’ love.
Tom became the Associate Pastor of Adults and Equipping at St. Germain in 2019. He and his wife Kay are native “Cheeseheads”, having grown up on Wisconsin farms near Coon Valley and Tomah, respectively. They both graduated from the University of Wisconsin / La Crosse and have six children; Kaitlyn Ferry (husband Josh and three grandchildren; Olivia, Jack and Lincoln), Wade (wife Kim), Will (wife Holly and a baby on the way in March), Caleb (wife Vivian), Christian and Raeshana. After serving together in the ministry of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) in California, Washington State and Indiana, Tom filled the position Associate Pastor at Emmanel Baptist Church in Bloomington, Indiana. They are now thrilled to make Arbor Vitae and the Northwoods their home.
Tom and Kay are avid outdoor enthusiasts and consider nature “sacramental”, as it leads them to a deeper knowledge of the Creator. Above all else they desire to do their utmost for His Highest, building up each member of the body of Christ for the glory of God.
Wendy has been an active member and volunteer at St. Germain Evangelical Free since 2010. She accepted the Children’s Ministry Director position in the fall 2017. Wendy obtained her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in Human Development and Family Studies with a focus on Early Childhood Education and went on to receive her Master’s Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Elementary Education. Her passion is sharing God’s truth and love with children.
Wendy has been married to her husband for over 2o years and is blessed with four incredible daughters. In her spare time she loves cross country skiing, biking, sitting by the lake and camping with her family in the lovely Northwoods.
Andrea Jacobi is our Office Administrative Assistant since January of 2010. Andrea has wide-ranging office experience having worked in that capacity at a nursing home, tennis club and medical clinic in the Milwaukee area. She attended MBTI Business Training Institute and then became the Systems Specialist at Milwaukee Medical Clinic before moving to St. Germain in 1993.
Andrea has been a member of St. Germain Evangelical Free since 2003. She has been married to her husband, Gary, for 25+ years and they have two grown children, Jason and Erin. Andrea loves crocheting, paper crafting, cooking, movies, Wisconsin sports, kayaking, snowshoeing and walks with her dog, Miss Millie. She and her family now reside in Woodruff.
Linda Doud played piano for worship at St. Germain Evangelical Free for many years before becoming the Administrative Assistant for Worship, Students and Children. She grew up in California and went to Northwestern College in Iowa.
Linda has lived in Eagle River for 40 years. She is married to Dennis and has two children, Abby and Isaac, as well as 2 granddaughters. She has enjoyed a lifetime of serving in youth ministries, children’s ministries and planning and playing piano for worship services. She is surprised by One who would save her by grace and love her so faithfully. Her passion is to come alongside the leaders she works with and serve them well.
Karen works part-time cleaning the church. She moved to Wisconsin in November of 2012 and is originally from Kansas. She came to Wisconsin to do an internship at HoneyRock in Three Lakes. While at HoneyRock, she attended St. Germain Evangelical Free and it has become her family and church home. Karen is also involved with the children and senior ministries at St. Germain EFC.
Karen resides in Eagle River. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, cross country skiing and any other way she can find herself enjoying God’s creation.
Geoff and his wife Brenda have been attending StG EFC since 2016. Geoff is originally from Ripon, WI and has attended UW Eau Claire as a music major and Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Ill. He has been a Banquet Coordinator for the Heidel House in Green Lake, The Playboy Club in Lake Geneva and Marriott Resorts in Colorado Springs, San Diego, Marco Island, Vail and Point Clear, Alabama. In 2001 Geoff moved back to Wisconsin to the Green Lake Conference Center where he was inspired to pursue the pastorate which he did until 2012 when he and Brenda moved to Star Lake to retire. Since his “retirement” Geoff has worked for Conserve School in Land O Lakes and the Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff. He has been a part-time custodian since January 2019 and helps out occasionally with the praise team. Geoff and Brenda have two grown sons, Brad and Ben, who live in the Fox Valley.
Laura became the interim Children’s Ministry Director in September, 2019 and has been a member of St. Germain Ev Free Church for many years. Laura earned her B.S. in 1980 from UW-Stevens Point and completed her Master’s Degree in education at UW-SP in 2012. She has a passion for serving the Lord by working closely with adult leaders and loving on children.
Laura and her husband, Dan, have lived in the Northwoods since 2005, when Dan retired from teaching. Together, they have seven children, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Laura and Dan love to travel, fish for walleye, kayak on area lakes and rivers and canoe in the Boundary Waters. Laura also enjoys cooking, reading, scrapbooking and sewing.

Charlie grew up in Rochester, MN and has lived in the Northwoods for the past 4 years. He graduated from Wheaton College and earned a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Studies and Missions from Wheaton College as well. Charlie is married to Laura and they have 3 wonderful children. In addition to serving as the interim leader for StG Students Wednesday Night, Charlie works at HoneyRock, the Outdoor Center for Leadership Development of Wheaton College in Three Lakes where he is the Program Manager of their gap year program, Vanguard.
Charlie enjoys being outdoors as much as possible and bringing his kids on adventures.
Justin is the interim Youth Ministry Director of Adult Leaders. He has worked with student ministries at Fort Wilderness since 2009. He directs the TruNorth program during the school year and directs Leadership Lab in the summer. Both programs focus on Leadership Development and discipleship. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and earned a Master’s Degree in education from Indiana University. He currently serves as adjunct faculty for Moody Bible Institute. Justin is married to Kelly and has 3 children.
Justin enjoys football and basketball and many outdoor activities. He loves hiking, camping with his family and staying physically active. Justin is passionate about developing leaders to engage culture for eternal impact. He enjoys teaching and equipping leaders to grow in relationships with Jesus, one another and the local church. He looks forward to investing in the adult leaders within the student ministries at St. Germain Ev Free.
Amber is serving as the interim Youth Ministry Special Events Coordinator. She has been attending St. Germain Ev Free since 2014. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from York College in Nebraska, then she moved to the Northwoods to pursue camp ministry. Amber spent three years at HoneyRock, completing her Master’s Degree through Wheaton College in Christian Formation & Ministry: Outdoor Adventure Leadership.
After completing her time at HoneyRock, Amber transitioned to the full-time missionary staff at Fort Wilderness. Her role at Fort is the Staff & Volunteer Coordinator, where she enjoys the privilege of working with many high school and college-aged students who serve on summer staff. While working at Fort, Amber met her soon-to-be husband, Jon. They are getting married in October 2019! In her free time, Amber enjoys being in God’s creation – through hiking/backpacking, skiing and most other outdoor activities. She also enjoys knitting, reading and catching up with friends over good coffee.
