Jesus is the source of our method for doing ministry.

In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus instructs His followers, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

HOW do we make disciples? The passage teaches that we do this by “going,” “baptizing,” and “teaching others.”

• Christ followers “GO” when they move beyond their Christian relationships to connect with people who are not yet connected to Jesus.
• Christ followers “BAPTIZE people into the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit” when they help the people around them make an authentic connection with Jesus and His community of believers.
• Christ followers “TEACH others to obey everything Jesus commanded” by connecting people to Jesus’ mission and all that living under His leadership entails.
